G3 Vehicle Auctions has secured a significant new partnership agreement with Close Brothers Motor Finance that will see more than 8,000 vehicles managed and sold through its remarketing channels from January 2026.

Close Brothers Motor Finance, part of Close Brothers Group PLC, has signed a long-term, exclusive agreement with G3 following a comprehensive supplier tender process. Under the new arrangement, G3 will deliver a full end-to-end solution for the recovery and disposal of all vehicle assets, leveraging its complete portfolio of services; including advanced pre-VT technology and asset management systems.

As part of the partnership, G3 will coordinate nationwide recoveries through its strategic network of 30+ secure drop-off hubs and auction centres. Vehicles will then be offered via G3’s multi-channel remarketing platform, with auctioneer-led physical sales remaining the cornerstone of its approach.

Close Brothers Motor Finance stock - including cars, motorcycles, and LCVs - will feature in weekly sales at G3’s flagship £12m auction facility in Castleford, near Leeds, and also at its 14-acre Bedford site in the South Midlands.

The partnership will kick-off in the New Year with a series of physical and online sale events; starting at G3 Bedford on Monday 12th January 2026, followed by Thursday 15th January at G3 Castleford, and closing the week with a brand-new Motorbike sale on Friday 23rd January.  All launch events will see Close Brothers representatives on-site for instant decisions on the rostrum alongside a host of special prizes for physical buyers on the day.

G3’s Joint Managing Director, Gareth Jones, commented: “Securing this major contract with one of the UK’s leading motor finance providers reinforces G3’s position as the genuine ‘go-to’ remarketing partner for finance house assets. Close Brothers vehicles are highly regarded by trade buyers, and we’re thrilled to expand our network in 2026 - bringing even more vehicles to market and showcasing them through our state-of-the-art auction facilities and multi-channel sales offering every week”.

John Cassidy, Managing Director at Close Brothers Motor Finance said: “With their market-leading reputation and deep knowledge of motor finance, G3 was the clear choice for this partnership. Their technology, expertise and nationwide reach will help us drive greater asset value and operational efficiency, delivering a faster and more transparent experience for customers and colleagues alike.”

Close Brothers Motor Finance have been offering finance solutions for over 30 years and see over 100,000 customers every year using their services to fund cars, motorbikes or LCVs through over 5,000 dealers and brokers.
