Close Brothers Motor Finance has helped put a smile on the faces of sick and underprivileged children this winter by raising an outstanding £6,170 for Cash for Kids’ Mission Christmas, the UK’s largest annual toy appeal.

This winter, the ongoing cost-of-living crisis and rocketing inflation has pushed families up and down the nation into unprecedented financial hardship. Rising energy prices and household bills are putting added pressure on the finances of many parents, meaning that Christmas presents were simply unaffordable for some. For the fifth year in a row, Close Brothers Motor Finance has partnered with the UK charity Cash for Kids in support of their Mission Christmas appeal.

In true festive spirit, Close Brothers Motor Finance’s employees, along with their friends, families, and partner companies have collectively raised £4,700 and donated 2,004 presents. Having agreed to match funds raised by all employee donations, Close Brothers Motor Finance donated £1,470, bringing the total monies raised to £6,170. Those at the company have gone above and beyond once again.

The money and gifts raised for Mission Christmas by Close Brothers Motor Finance have made a significant contribution to the appeal’s total of £14 million raised this year. Joining the likes of B&M Homes and Leeds United, the work of Close Brothers Motor Finance will have undoubtedly transformed Christmas for thousands of vulnerable and underprivileged children this year.

Operating across the UK, every pound and present donated to the campaign stays within the area it is raised, helping those children most in need within the local communities of donators.

Sean Kemple, Managing Director at Close Brothers Motor Finance, said: “Each year, the generosity of the team at Close Brothers Motor Finance has shone through, with hundreds of us working together to have a positive impact within our local communities. This year, once again, individuals have gone out of their way to bring Santa to children, despite the turbulent and worrying economic climate. I’m immensely proud of the effort put in by everyone to prioritise and support the next generation’s most vulnerable.”
