Our Account Managers

Our Account Managers build and maintain strong relationships with our dealer partners based on consistent high quality service.

Each Account Manager has their own region and works closely with their Sales Manager and Operations Manager to take responsibility for developing and maintaining existing and prospect dealer partners in their region.

Our Account Managers enjoy a generous salary package with uncapped earning potential as well as additional benefits including a mid-exec level company car, laptop, iPad and iPhone.

Senior Account Manager

I have been an Account Manager with Close Brothers Motor Finance since 2015. I had previously worked for a competitor in the industry and was pleased to see the difference as soon as I joined. Close Brothers Motor Finance has given me the autonomy to be successful in my role, while providing support and training throughout. I quickly wanted to progress within the business and, with the support of my Sales Manager, I was given the opportunity to join focus groups and mentor new Account Managers to help develop new skills. I have since been promoted to Senior Account Manager and I’m also now involved in the Women in Motor Forum which has given me a fantastic opportunity to develop my skillset whilst promoting more equality and diversity within the business. I really enjoy my role; it is extremely flexible and interesting - no day is the same!  I can truly say that Close Brothers Motor Finance has a colleague first attitude and I feel I am a valued member of the team.

It was clear from day one of me working as an Underwriter that Close Brothers Motor Finance are a company who pride themselves on employee progression. I was initially impressed by the time devoted by my colleagues, as all were willing to offer support. I received regular 121 meetings with my Line Manager who often gave performance advice and discussed my development. When an opportunity arose to work in Sales as an Account Manager, I was encouraged to apply. This role had always appealed to me so I was thrilled to secure the position. Whilst changing roles, I received necessary training and joined a number of sales workshops. I was also given the chance to shadow other Account Managers which I found extremely beneficial as it helped to expand my knowledge of the role. I foresee a successful career within Close Brothers Motor Finance and would recommend as a place of work.

I started working with Close Brothers Motor Finance as an Underwriter in one of the regional branches for 10 months and despite this being completely different to what I envisioned, I had a great feeling about the company. I really enjoyed this role as it helped to provide a number of transferable skills which facilitated my development into Sales. The Operations Manager in branch discussed the ample opportunities for progression and when an Account Manager announced she was going on maternity leave, I applied for a secondment and was fortunately successful. Throughout my secondment, I developed a strong relationship with the Sales Manager and Operations Manager who helped me realise my potential. With the support from the wider team, later that year I passed my secondment and secured a permanent Account Manager position which was brilliant for me and my career progression.

Our Sales Managers are responsible for teams of Account Managers, working in partnership with an Operations Manager to take responsibility for the performance of their region. They are experts in their fields and are key to providing the strategic direction for their branch sales.
