Our newly refurbished Head Office in Doncaster, plays host to a wide range of functions which are integral to the daily running of Close Brothers Motor Finance. Largely open plan, with plenty of natural light and modern break-out areas, helps to create a collaborative environment.

Business Monitoring

Business Monitoring

Business Assurance, Compliance and Risk put in place and monitor controls across our business to ensure we continue to work as professionally and efficiently as possible.

Credit and Finance

Credit and Finance

Credit are responsible for forming our decisions around our lending appetite and managing our credit exposure. We have our own Finance team who keep track of everything going in and coming out of our business as well as forecasting for the future.

IT and Business Intelligence

IT and Business Intelligence

We have our own in-house IT and Business Intelligence teams who are key in supporting many functions around the business.

Marketing and Change

Marketing and Change

Our Marketing team work closely with our Sales team supporting them with creative ideas on how we can attract new business, retain existing relationships and promote our achievements. Within our Change team are Project Managers and Business Analysts who are responsible for large scale projects in the business such as the Motor 2020 programme.

Junior Business Analyst

I joined Close Brothers Motor Finance as an underwriter while studying for my Master’s Degree. Truthfully, I hadn’t considered a career with them as I didn’t believe my current skillset lent itself to the Finance industry, but during time I saw this flourish. I progressed to a team Senior which taught me leadership responsibilities, people management, and vastly improved my organisational abilities. When an opportunity to join the Change Team as a Business Analyst arose, the Head of Change was keen to demonstrate how my skillset was well suited to the role. One year on and each day is a challenge but a welcome one. I have a brilliant line manager who has set out a clear progression plan for me. Opportunities for progression, gaining qualifications, along with a host of resources provided by L&D, all continue to help me grow.

Marketing Executive

After graduating from university with a Psychology degree, I joined Close Brothers Motor Finance as a Sales Executive in the Customer Service Unit. I previously worked in customer service and was happy for the opportunity to further develop my skills, whilst also gaining valuable sales experience. As part of my Personal Development Plan, I expressed an interest in gaining experience in areas that aligned to my degree, such as HR & Recruitment. After being with the company for 6 months, I eagerly pursued an opportunity in HR. Not only did this improve my knowledge of people management, it also enhanced my transferable skillset. I worked here for around 8 months before applying for a position in Marketing. Now as a Marketing Executive, I form part of the B2B team, focusing primarily on the delivery of results for our dealer partners. Having now worked in Marketing for 6 months, I have a rounded appreciation of our business and the wider industry which will further support my career moving forward.
