Remote Quote and Apply just got better!

With customers shifting to buying online, this trend is unlikely to reverse even when things are back to 'normal', so it's important for you to continue to grow and maintain your digital journey. Our updates to Remote Quote and Apply can support you with doing just that.

We know the importance of providing you with digital tools so you can virtually meet the demand of your customers. That's why we improved our Showroom platform last year by introducing Remote Quote and Apply to allow you to email a quote to a customer so they can apply for finance remotely, from wherever is most convenient for them. 

According to research from Auto Trader, consumers are unlikely to revert back to old behaviours once things return to 'normal', and...

  • 26% would prefer to complete their car purchase online and either click and collect the vehicle, or have it delivered
  • 25% would like to reserve the vehicle online, and complete the deal in dealership

As a result, we're making regular updates to our digital tools, starting with new functionality for Remote Quote and Apply. This means additional benefits are available to both you and your customers, and these will ultimately continue to help grow your business. So what's new exactly?

  • In addition to showing the original quote that you emailed to a customer, quotes for other available products, including relevant product information and videos, will also now show. Therefore, you no longer need to save and email quotes for every product, as they’ll generate automatically, saving you time. ​This also means that the customer has increased awareness of their finance options, and can more easily compare quotes in their own time, at home, and then progress to a finance application.
  • The new update will also come in handy once your showroom or forecourt reopens again for visiting customers next week, as during busy periods, you can send quotes to customers for them to review in a seating area, whilst you attend to other customers.

If a customer personalises a quote or selects an alternative product and then leaves the application, their choices will be saved and displayed to them when they return. Should a quote expire or a vehicle be sold, a message will also display to keep the customer informed. This will make your conversations with customers about vehicles much easier.
